On Friday, April 26, Mariners pitching coach, Carl Willis, will join RBI Club members and their guests for an afternoon of real baseball insights.

About Carl
Carl has worked with three Cy Young award winners during the years they were recognized. They include: CC Sabathia in 2007, Cliff Lee in 2008, and Felix Hernandez in 2010.

In 2011, he helped the Ms bullpen earn a 3.9 ERA despite using nine rookie pitchers. Before joining the Mariners organization in 2009, Carl spent 13 seasons as a coach with the Indians. In 2007, the Tribe’s starting rotation posted the lowest ERA (4.19) in the American League.

Before coaching, Carl pitched in the big leagues over parts of 12 seasons. He finished with a record of 22-16 with a 4.25 ERA in 267 games. Among his career highlights were four World Series outings as an integral member of the 1991 World Series Champion Minnesota Twins bullpen.
