It’s Almost Cactus Closer Time

written by Mikaela Cowles on March 16, 2012 in Announcement with no comments

The annual Cactus Closer is just days away. Spring Training is in full swing. The Mariners are nearly ready to pack their bags for Japan. Can you feel the baseball buzz? The season’s almost here!

RBI Club Member Gale Wergeland reports, “The Mariners have been a lot of fun to watch (at Spring Training).” If you haven’t been keeping up with Spring Training news, Shannon Drayer’s Mariners Blog is an excellent inside look at game results, player performance, and extra tidbits.

The Closer will immediately follow the March 19, Mariners verse Cubs game. Held for the second straight year at the Firebird, complimentary appetizers from the Happy Hour menu and a no-host bar will be available. (Location details here.)

Who’s coming? We’ve extended invitations to Major and Minor League Players; Broadcasters; umpires; Mariner Staff, coaches and baseball operations personell; and of course RBI Club Members.

This is our largest, most organized Cactus Closer yet. A big thank you to Gale and RBI Club Member Rebecca Mulhollen for all their hard work organizing and promoting the event.
