Friends and Family day at the 5th Ave

Yesterday, nearly 100 RBI Club members and guests gathered at The 5th Avenue Theater for the final showing of The Music Man. This was the club’s second annual trip to theater. It offered our members tickets for an incredible discount, saving them approximately $80 per ticket.

At an exclusive pre-show gathering, guests heard unique insights about how the music was crafted to develop the plot. Following the show, guests were invited to gather again. Joined by members of the cast and theater staff, they were treated to a little post-show performance. An impromptu auction, lead by one of our own members and amazing auctioneer, Keith Robbins raised $1,500 for the Rising Star Project.

The Rising Star is a 5th Avenue program which gives local high school kids a hands-on opportunity in the musical production industry. Just two weeks after the final performance of The Music Man, a full cast of high school students will take their professional counterpart’s place for another performance. From stage hands and pit crew to front of the house promotions and actors, students will get a real feel for what the life of a professional is like.

A huge thank you to Steve Tenge for spearheading and organizing this event, to Keith Robbins for being our auctioneer, and to The 5th Avenue for a wonderful show.
